Our focus on Educational Opportunity, Financial Security, and Community Resiliency seeks to create an interconnected path that will give people the Freedom To Rise and the ability to create the life they imagine for themselves.
Educational Opportunity
Educational Opportunity defines the broad impact of our work, from Early Learning to Literacy Development to Youth Mentoring. The term also crystalizes the bridge between our College and Career Readiness efforts and the Workforce Development components found under Financial Security.
Financial Security
Financial Security represents a sharper definition of our work in this space. We want to help families transform from stability to security and onward to economic mobility. Stability could be interpreted as just getting by, paycheck to paycheck. Security represents a greater aspiration.
Community Resiliency
Community Resiliency may be a new brand label, but it’s not new to our work. The term helps us define two critical aspects of our work: capacity building and disaster resiliency. Capacity building revolves around sharing our expertise with nonprofit partners to strengthen their efforts. Disaster resiliency reflects our drive to proactively prepare and respond to disasters and other emerging issues.
