TAMPA, Fla. – December 12, 2018 – United Way Suncoast
has announced its 2018 Most Generous Workplaces in Manatee County, determined by companies’ philanthropic contributions to and through United Way Suncoast during the previous fiscal year and includes both corporate gifts as well as employee contributions.
Combined, the top 100 organizations in the Suncoast region (DeSoto, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pinellas and Sarasota counties) and their employees generously invested $16 million to help local communities through United Way Suncoast-led and supported programs in the areas of youth education, adult financial stability and support services.
The top 25 most generous workplaces in Manatee County represent over $1.3 million in monetary and in-kind contributions.
The top 10 most generous workplaces in Manatee County for 2018 are:

- School District of Manatee County
- Beall’s Inc.
- ITW GSE
- The Mosaic Company
- Wells Fargo
- Florida Power & Light Company
- Pierce Manufacturing
Publix Super Markets and the Manatee County Government teams have led the roster for several years. New to the top 25 for Manatee County are Air Products and Target store #817. FedEx jumped five spots to rank tenth this year, and the School District of Manatee County, Wells Fargo, BMO Harris Bank, Fifth Third Bank, Regions Bank and ITW GSE each ranked higher this year than last year.
All top 25 organizations integrate community into their business and cultural goals and look for opportunities to use their unique strengths and assets to serve the community. Sarasota Manatee Airport Authority (#12) exemplifies this concept, not only empowering employees to give back, but also partnering with United Way throughout the year and stepping forward when needed.
