On United Way Suncoast’s annual list of the most generous workplaces, Publix Super Markets and Raymond James Financial held the top two spots, with Enterprise Holdings Inc. jumping from the No. 6 spot last year to the No. 3 position this year.
“It’s not just the right thing to do; it makes good business sense because our positive approach helps set us apart to our customers and employees who want to be part of something meaningful,” said Kevin Moore, general manager and vice president of Enterprise Holdings.
Enterprise and its associates give throughout the year, utilizing their knowledge of transportation to provide transportation and assistance during Hurricane Irma relief efforts.
The top 10 companies represent nearly $11 million in contributions in 2018.
“In our community, 45 percent of households are working hard and barely making it. By making social impact a part of their business objectives, these incredible partners and their employees are making a tremendous difference in the Suncoast region,” Suzanne McCormick, CEO of United Way Suncoast.
