RAM
In November, 2016 RAM held a clinic in Bradenton, Florida, which provided no-cost health care for 1,128 people. Counting aid such as meal distribution, health information dispersion, and classes on cigarette addiction, the clinic provided 4,122 services thanks to 1,100 volunteers. United Way of Manatee County is a proud partner of RAM and its mission to bring healthcare to the people and pets of Manatee County.
Day of Caring 2016
On October 6th, over 50 volunteers from across Manatee County came together to create thrivability. There were projects all over the county at organizations like Turning Points and Schools such as Blackburn Elementary. This United Way tradition reminds us of the central role volunteers play in our community.
United Way Bus Tour
This year, the United Way of Manatee County took 30 of its amazing donors on a tour of the United Way of Manatee County and several of its partners throughout the community. Stops included the Urban Farm at Lincoln Middle School, Turning Points and the ECC. This tour is a great way to show our donors where their money goes and to encourage them to go back to their workplaces and homes with stories of the impact United Way of Manatee County and its partners are making in the community.
Fund Drive Kickoff 2016
In late July 2016, the United Way of Manatee County and its supporters gathered to initiate its 2016 Fund Drive. The Fund Drive and the generous investments made in the United Way of Manatee County through it are the key to the work we do. As a careful and responsible steward of these funds, we provide data and support to the Community Investment Volunteers who allocate these funds to the community. Part of these funds also go to running internal United Way programs like FamilyWize and ReadingPals.
