Making a Legacy Gift to United Way Suncoast

If you ask donors why they give, many will say it’s because they believe in the organization’s mission or feel that their gift can make a difference. Legacy donors often give for similar reasons and they see legacy gifts as an opportunity to create lasting impact on those causes that are important to them – impact that will live on beyond their lifetime.

As some of United Way Suncoast’s most loyal donors, you have demonstrated your commitment to the work that we do in our communities and we are very grateful for your support. Legacy gifts to United Way Suncoast build upon your generosity, your investment, and your commitment to support our community in perpetuity.

These types of gifts are separate from a donor’s annual contribution and can be made with cash or stock, or they can be deferred with the gift coming from bequests, individual retirement accounts or life insurance policies.

Donors who have chosen to endow their annual Tocqueville Society gift to make a lasting impact in perpetuity in the amount of $250,000 or more through their estate plans become a member of the Bill McBride Tocqueville Legacy Circle, named for one of United Way Suncoast’s most loyal supporters. Your Tocqueville Society legacy gift will continue to champion and invest in the future work that United Way will do to help those in our community who are most in need.

If you have already included United Way Suncoast in your estate plans – thank you! Please let us know about your gift so we can acknowledge and recognize your support. We are committed to respecting the wishes of all our donors and will honor donor requests for anonymity or special name listing for recognition purposes.
