Centennial Celebration Kick-off
Hurricane Milton Supply Drop

We're Creating Transformational Change

For 100 years, United Way Suncoast has strengthened the community by adhering to the undeniable mantra: Together, We’re Greater Than Any Challenge.

In 2024, cost of living imbalances, educational barriers and three hurricanes tested the mettle of our mantra. Once again, we met the moment thanks to the incredible compassion, resolve and determination of our community.

Together, nonprofit partners, donors and volunteers turned the tide against these challenges by getting involved, taking action and giving back. In the wake of the devastating one-two punch of Helene and Milton, we connected corporate donors with nonprofit partners to provide immediate relief, while raising nearly $2 million in our Together We Recover Fund for mid- and long-term support.

Together, we mobilized the community to action for all, just as we’ve done since we started as the Tampa Welfare League and Community Chest in 1924. At the heart of our efforts then and now: supporting community members who are forced to deal with life’s daily storms.

Together, we impacted the lives of more than half a million people in our five-county region this year. We continued to elevate early learning, energy middle and high school students and empower families through financial security.

Together, we celebrated our 100-year milestone through events and commemorations, but also through a collective will that reflects our legacy and signals our future.

Together, as we move into our second century of service, let’s continue the drive that makes us greater than any challenge. Let’s never lose sight of the fact that …

United We Rise, United We Win.
