State Of The Child: Beyond The Score

A recent Florida Chamber Foundation report found that childcare issues result in an annual $5.4 billion dollar loss to Florida’s economy. What does that mean for the future of the Sunshine State?

NewsChannel 8 Anchor, Deanne King, will guide a group of expert panelists through a dynamic discussion about the ongoing early learning crisis. We’ll learn how the crisis drives parents out of the workforce, reduces tax revenue for Florida, and puts an undue strain on the state’s households and businesses.

Our panelists will be: State Rep. Fiona McFarland; PrimeGroup Insurance CEO Ed Ellsasser, Children’s Movement of Florida CEO Madeleine Thakur and Association of Early Learning Coalitions executive director Molly Grant.
