R.I.S.E. Luncheon

Join United Way Suncoast at its annual R.I.S.E. Luncheon on April 1 for what promises to be a fun and folksy foray into how the Jenkins family and their devoted employees grew Publix into America’s top grocery store.

Former Publix CEO and chairman Howard Jenkins, the son of Publix founder George Jenkins, will join retired Deloitte executive and philanthropist Jessica Blume for a fireside chat that will illuminate the store’s rise to prominence. Howard will share tales of his father’s energy, empathy, and ingenuity while explaining the secret sauce of Publix and how he worked to go beyond his father’s shadow and create his own legacy.
