Campaign Spotlight: Ernst & Young

Campaign Coordinator Tate Kubler, Partner at Ernst & Young, and Lisa Urban, Experience Management Senior Associate, are never short of creativity or passion for their United Way Suncoast campaign. Both bring infectious enthusiasm and dedication to their workplace, their campaign activities and to educating their coworkers about United Way’s work to help children across the region.

Tate and Lisa shook things up with an eventful Chilli Cook-Off. Those who wanted to taste and vote on their favorite chili paid $5, and the winner was awarded with their name on a plaque for all to see, a custom trophy and a custom apron. Only steps away in the adjacent room, they also held a lively cornhole tournament that enjoyed wide participation.

Tate and Lisa also use themes to help them formulate activities throughout the campaign. This year’s theme was ‘Hollywood’. Initially, Lisa hung over 100 blank gold and silver cut-out stars all over the office to provoke curiosity and conversation. As the campaign went along, she wrote the names of organizations United Way Suncoast supports and partners in the area to illustrate its reach across the region and where donor dollars go.

That’s not the only way they encourage staff to know where their dollar is going. Every quarter at Ernst & Young, staff are encouraged to visit United Way-partnered organizations and see first-hand what the organization does for the people they serve, and see exactly where their money goes.

United Way Suncoast is happy to shine the spotlight on Ernst & Young for an exemplary campaign in which they exceeded their goal by more than $50,000. Thank you to our friends at Ernst & Young for your continued generosity.
