Learn more about our Campaign Coordinators of the Year and all they do to make their campaigns fun and successful:

Jennifer kicked off the Florida Power and Light campaign with six meetings across the SDM. Attendees enjoyed a presentation by UWS Corporate Philanthropy Manager Chrystal Mijares, the chance at a raffle prize and an ice cream social. UWS Board Member Devaney Iglesias also attended each meeting.

Running for a month, the campaign included a variety of prizes for employees to win including an online tailgate raffle through our Ignite page (online campaign platform) and weekly emoji challenges for a chance to win a $100 gift card. In addition, Jennifer coordinated multiple volunteer projects and kit builds throughout the campaign so employees could continue to give back to their community.

As Chrystal says, “Jennifer is truly inspiring with her level of engagement within the community and a true example of leadership. She is consistently thinking about ways to give back by providing kit builds throughout the year. It seems like every month she is signing up her and her team for a UWS partner project. She makes you excited to give back.”

Marissa planned a kick-off meeting for Warren Averett where employees were invited to have a bite to eat while hearing from UWS Corporate Philanthropy Manager Trina Uy. Employees turning in a pledge card that day were eligible to win a raffle prize.

Though the Warren Averett campaign is run through UW of Central Alabama, that didn’t stop Marissa from planning all kinds of special events to ensure a successful campaign. In addition, she worked with our Philanthropic Engagement Team to schedule the office’s annual day of service with one of our nonprofit partners, the Children’s Home Network. Volunteers helped out with a variety of landscaping tasks.
Marissa also participated in a Suncoast Snapshot after the campaign to talk about her impact and role as a campaign coordinator and has joined the steering committee to help plan the content for the campaign coordinator workshops. Finally, she helped her company become a Bronze sponsor for this year’s Rise and Shine breakfast.

As Trina says, “In this year alone, Marissa has gone above and beyond to get involved with United Way Suncoast. Getting the whole office to support UWS in little ways like the day of service project, Rise and Shine breakfast sponsorship, and special events shows how dedicated she is to our mission and our cause. Marissa is one-of-a-kind!”

A huge THANK YOU to our Campaign Coordinators of the Year and all the coordinators working hard as they partner with United Way Suncoast to make our community brighter for all.
