Tocqueville Society’s 30th Anniversary

On Thursday, January 17, 2019, we celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the United Way Suncoast Tocqueville Society at The James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art in St. Petersburg. Tocqueville members enjoyed a fun night of dinner, dancing and a recognition ceremony to induct six families into the United Way Worldwide Million Dollar Roundtable.

The United Way Worldwide Million Dollar Roundtable has 500 members who provide generous gifts of $1 million or more to make transformative change. Three Tampa Bay families were members of the Roundtable: John and Susan Sykes, Cy and Joanne Spurlino and Patricia Sullivan. The 2019 Honorees are: James and Celia Ferman; Tom and Mary James; Robert and Cathy Smith; David and Debbie Walker; Barbara and Al Siemer and Carol and Barney Barnett.

Tocqueville Society members are community champions and committed citizens dedicated to improving lives in Tampa Bay and making it possible for people to achieve their full potential. Their generous contribution to United Way provides the building blocks for a self-sufficient life to those facing challenges in our community.
