How time flies! Fall is nearing (although it may not feel like it just yet) and with it comes pumpkin spice, cooler weather and, oftentimes, new clothes for the changing weather. Having new, clean socks when you’re getting ready for school makes a big difference every day, but not all families can afford to outfit their kids to replace missing or worn out pairs throughout the year. That’s why we’re happy to announce our 3rd Annual Socktoberfest!
How can you help? Start a Socktoberfest collection at your workplace this month. New socks for children of all ages, from preschool to high school, are needed – fun socks, sports socks, dress socks, silly socks, knee socks, footie socks, warm socks, thin socks, tights – all are welcome!
Volunteer at our Socktoberfest VolunParties and have a great evening giving back to the children in our community. Volunteers will be sorting collected socks that United Way Suncoast received during the month of October and put them into bags that attendees will decorate. Register at www.volunteersuncoast.org/socktoberfest to reserve your spot today!
