Tocqueville New Member Spotlight – Amy Maguire

Tocqueville member Amy Maguire has been serving for-profit and nonprofit companies across Florida for over 20 years.  With a deep dedication to community, Amy specializes in corporate philanthropy and sustainability, advocacy and corporate communications. Amy’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to start several companies including Shamrox USA, a cause-related sportswear company selling products made by women in the USA. Her current company, Maguire Strategies, advises companies in building corporate philanthropy programs though her Engaged for Good model, which utilizes clients’ resources to create a shared value approach for the company and the community.

Amy became involved with United Way twenty years ago in Cincinnati.  She volunteered in several programs, including as a loaned executive. As a new Tocqueville Society member, Amy is excited about working with United Way Suncoast on financial stability initiatives, workforce development and neighborhood programs.  Amy, her husband Sean and two daughters live in St. Petersburg.

Amy understands the importance and impact of community service, having served on numerous boards supporting children and families throughout Florida as well as volunteering for several organizations. Currently, she sits on the SPCA, AchievHERs, and Feeding Tampa Bay Boards. At Feeding Tampa Bay, she is the chair of the Development Council and the Fork Fight event. She has worked with YMCA of the Suncoast, Religious Community Services, co-chaired the St. Pete Innovation District, and spends her volunteer time mentoring, and working to promote women’s economic sustainability.

We’re incredibly grateful to welcome such a driven leader and philanthropic partner to our Tocqueville Society. Welcome Amy!
