On May 17, United Way Suncoast was honored to have long-time philanthropist Jamie Egasti, Chairman of Veepak and long-time philanthropist, speak at our Leadership Roundtable at Armature Works, hosted by the United Way Suncoast Young Leaders’ and Tocqueville Societies.
Egasti is the Chairman of Veepak, LLC, a full-service contract manufacturer in the beauty and personal care space. He is also a Director of Lookbook HQ, as well as serving as an executive-in-residence at the Lowth School of Entrepreneurship at the University of Tampa. He and his wife, Jane, are also members of the United Way Suncoast Tocqueville Society.
He spoke about the importance of leadership, mentorship, knowing one’s own value as an employee, honest feedback in a professional relationship and giving back to one’s own community as a member of the business community. The discussion was followed by a Q&A session in which attendees posed questions to Jamie.
The lunch was designed to connect young leaders from organizations across Tampa Bay in roundtable discussions around leadership, career strategies, volunteer engagement, advocacy and more. Participants had the opportunity to network with their peers, connect with executives and community leaders and see how their involvement in the community is important for their professional growth and advancement.
Young Leaders’ Society is for professionals who are passionate about community involvement. Young Leaders’ Society fosters the participation, commitment and growth of philanthropic-focused professionals in furthering the mission of United Way Suncoast with a special focus on adult financial stability issues.
